Dr. Ana Martinez-Donate is a professor in the Department of Community Health and Prevention at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. Her most recent research examines 1) the negative impact of immigration and deportation policies on the children of immigrant families; 2) syndemics among Latino immigrants, with emphasis on four syndemic factors: substance use, violence, HIV/AIDS, and mental health (SAVAME); 3) community-based responses to reduce SAVAME and COVID-19 related syndemics among Latino immigrants; and 4) monitoring health and healthcare access among Mexican migrant flows.
